Divergence tripwire
5LifecycleA predeclared monitor that fires on a named warning pattern: O improving while A is flat or falling (proxy corruption), O and A improving while P is not (construct mismatch), saturation, or repeated success on work that no longer matters.
Also called: tripwire
Defined in
Handbook · LifecycleLiving eval suitesThe asset is the machinery that notices when a score stops meaning what it used to: tripwires, drift and saturation.Related terms
- O/A/P channels
- Three separated measurement channels: an optimized channel (O), cheap, dense, and allowed to co-evolve; an anchor channel (A) that certifies independently and stays out of training objectives; and a production channel (P) of real outcomes and incidents.
- Saturation
- An instrument ceiling where stronger systems can no longer be discriminated. Treat it as a maintenance event.
- Frame review
- The governance process that asks whether the construct and objective themselves remain appropriate — logically prior to verifying performance against them.
